Most sessions take place in calm, open-air environments where the natural surroundings become part of the experience — ocean breeze, soft light, and uninterrupted quiet.
Slow Down & Take It In
A quieter side of Varkala exists just beyond the cliff — in the backwaters and mangrove channels around Kappil and Paravur. Kayaking and stand-up paddle sessions take you through still waters, narrow mangrove tunnels, and open lake stretches where the pace slows down and the experience becomes more about the surroundings than the activity itself.
Most sessions are conducted a short drive from the cliff, in calm inland waters where even first-timers can paddle comfortably.
Best Time
Morning and sunset sessions offer the most balanced experience — cooler temperatures, softer light, and a naturally calming atmosphere.
Early mornings are ideal for energizing your day with clarity, while evening sessions help you wind down and release built-up tension.
