Intermediate surf coaching
Work on the decisions that make a ride more consistent: positioning, timing, wave selection and control.
Build on what you know
Time well spent, at your level.
Progression begins with an honest look at your current surfing. Explain the waves you have ridden and where you want more control. The coach can then choose a focus that fits your ability and the available conditions, instead of rushing to a harder wave.

How it works
A clear plan before you begin.
- 01
Review your experience
Discuss recent surfing and the skills you want to improve.
- 02
Read and choose
Work on positioning and wave selection alongside technique.
- 03
Build consistency
Use repeated attempts and feedback to refine one part of your surfing.
Before you arrive
The small details matter.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, drinking water and sun protection.
- Tell the team your swimming confidence and previous experience.
- Session windows are 7:30 am, 9:30 am and 4 pm. Conditions determine the final time.
- Accommodation, meals and any extra transport are separate unless your quote includes them.
Before you decide.
Can I join if I cannot swim?
Tell the team before booking. The instructor must assess suitability; a beginner lesson does not automatically make water participation appropriate for non-swimmers.
What happens if the sea is unsuitable?
The team will discuss a different time or cancellation according to the terms agreed when booking. Sessions only run in suitable conditions.
Can I move up from beginner lessons?
Ask your coach for an assessment. The right level depends on water confidence, board control and the conditions, not simply the number of lessons taken.
Make it your day
Tell us when you’re coming.
Your enquiry goes to the Paddlecult team with the session, date and group details already filled in. We will agree the practicalities before you commit.
